Terran-Intelligence: Unknown Enemy Assets Report


     This creature was encountered by the Terran Spec Ops team code-named ▊▊▊▊▊▊ during Operation ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊ while infiltrating the abandoned Xnenos research facility on ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊.  The Creature ambushed them on their way to the extraction point. The team was unable to kill the creature while it killed most of the team, save Officer ▊▊▊▊▊▊ and Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊. Both were extracted safely.  However, Officer ▊▊▊▊▊▊ died on the way back to Terran space due to extensive injuries.  They both had severe psychological and physical trauma.

     The only thing we know about this creature for sure, is the project's code name. One of the files the Spec Ops team pulled from the Xnenos research facility was this profile picture of the creature under the name "Project A.B.O.U.S." The meaning of acronym is unknown. Other than that, the only data we have was derived from Officer ▊▊▊▊▊▊ and Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊'s descriptions. However, considering their mental states after the incident, it is unknown how much of their descriptions can be trusted.

     Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊ stated that right before and during the attack, his reaction time was cut in half.  In addition, right after their extraction from the research facility, both Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊ and Officer ▊▊▊▊▊▊ kept muttering that it was "in my brain" and yelling "get it out, get out of my head". Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊ could not clarify what he meant, as he did not retain any memory of the extraction. This has led some of the scientists investigating the incident to theorize that the creature may have some sort of psychic abilities. The rest of the scientific team disregarded the notion as improbable. Sergent ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊ also stated that when it ambushed the Spec Ops team it appeared out of thin air.  The scientific team, thinks this may be some sort of neural cloaking device. From the data collected it appears the A.B.O.U.S. encountered by the Spec Ops team was a female.  Females lack the red markings of males and are larger, more powerful and more numerous. It is unknown if the sexual dimorphism of the species stops there. 

     Due to the similarities between A.B.O.U.S. and the multiple creatures encountered recently during Operation ▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊▊, our scientists theorize that A.B.O.U.S. was a prototype genetically engineered weapon. Though it is possible that the Xnenos are in fact creating a new breed of genetically engineered weapons we do not have enough evidence to say for certain. Further investigations into this and related events will continue. For now, we are classifying A.B.O.U.S. as a genetically engineered predators (G.E.P.)
